Hoping for a vaginal birth after a C-section?
Dr. Gray offers VBAC care for eligible patients. Start with a conversation about your previous birth, your current pregnancy and what matters to you this time.
VBAC means vaginal birth after cesarean. TOLAC is the trial of labor that may lead to a VBAC. Your prior uterine incision, reason for the previous C-section, other uterine surgery and current pregnancy all help guide the plan. The team will also confirm the appropriate delivery hospital and available support.
A successful VBAC can avoid another abdominal surgery. A trial of labor also carries risks, including uterine rupture and the possibility of an unplanned C-section. Dr. Gray will help you weigh these considerations against a planned repeat C-section; a vaginal birth cannot be guaranteed.
